Management
The St Raphael Greek Language School belongs to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, Parish of Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene Bentleigh.
The school is run by the Principal and the Management Committee under the guidance of the President of Parish Council and School Chaplain, Fr Panagiotis Zoumboulis.
Location
The classes are conducted at:
Brighton Secondary College, Marriage Rd, Brighton
each Friday night from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Class Size
The school endeavours to maintain small class sizes and nurtures a family-friendly environment.
Curriculum
- The VCE curriculum is VCAA accredited and is a DEECD accredited Greek language provider.
- The Modern Greek language is offered in classes from Foundation to VCE level.
- Greek dancing and culture is incorporated into the teaching program.
- Text books are provided by St Raphael Greek School.
Teaching Staff
- Trained, registered teachers are employed to teach VCE levels.
- All the teaching staff are LOTE qualified.
- A number of staff have first aid certificates.
- All the teaching staff regularly complete professional development courses.
- An additional Greek dancing teacher is employed.
